Announcing the 168 hours poetry competition

After publishing the two line Ezra Pound poem yesterday, I thought it might be fun if I hosted a poetry competition this month.

To enter, you need to email me an Ezra Pound* couplet of your own by Sunday 26th September.  Anyone can enter - including kids, and you can enter more than once if you like.  The 'winner' gets to have theirs published on the last Monday of the month.  I'll probably also publish a few of the entries along the way... just for fun.

Ezra Pound couplets (as defined here) are "unrhymed couplets that give a powerful descriptive comparison. These comparisons are metaphors, in which one thing is said to be another. In the Ezra Pound couplet there are two statements:
- An image, presented in the first line;

- A comparison, present in the second line."
