Introducing 'in tandem' - a new blog for 'ministry wives'
Monday, 19 October 2009
Today I'm launching a new blog with two friends of mine, Rachael and Wendy.
It's a blog for ministry wives, called 'in tandem'. The three of us have been emailing back and forth for 3 months now, discussing the concept and the details - we're very excited that the launch date has finally arrived!
Since being thrown into the deep end (metaphorically) 10 years ago when I married Dave, who was already in the very last stages of training to be a pastor, I've had to do a lot of thinking about life as a ministry wife. These days, because of Dave's job at Morling, I have the unique opportunity to get to know women whose husbands are studying to become ministers and missionaries, and sharing some of my (very limited!) experience with them.
We decided to start this blog to discuss issues with each other and generate conversations between other ministry wives - in the hope that we can spur each other on to keep making the most of the opportunities that the role gives us to serve the Lord Jesus, and to keep loving him and rejoicing in him in the midst of the various pressures that the role involves.
168 hours will continue on, of course, but if you're a 'ministry wife' and you've got time in your week to drop into the new blog as well, from time to time, we'd love to have your input!

Fantastic idea. I've now added 'In Tandem' to my blog reader too.
Hi Nicole
I have just been asked to write a short article about blogs for ministry wives news (Sydney Anglican wives news letter) Would you mind if I promoted your new blog? I was already going to ask you if I could promote your 168 hours one because I find it so helpful. Thank you for doing this for people like me. I find it very valuable.
