Words and actions

Has anyone been keeping up the story of the couple from Ohio who, while undergoing IVF, had the wrong embryo implanted? They were told of the mistake immediately but because of their pro-life views, Carolyn and Sean Savage decided to proceed with the pregnancy and hand the baby over to its biological parents after giving birth. Here's a clip of the couple being interviewed:
What I have found interesting is the way that the general community has been so positive about the Savages and their actions (if the comments on Mia's blog, and their treatment by the SMH are an indication).
It's an example of how actions, especially costly actions can sometimes be even more powerful than words. And yet, the words need to be said to explain the actions, don't they?

Hi Nic, I was quite taken by this story too. What was interesting for me was how the mistake with the application of the technology caused pain and loss for both parties. Did we find out whether the parents who gave up the child had a faith? Seemed to me that it would take a special person to hand over the child. Thanks for the post.
