For the last few years, I've got most of my ideas from this book which has recipes and craft ideas for kids. Last week we made some tags to go with the teachers' chocolates. We drew 'invisible' pictures and patterns with candles and then painted over the top with water (coloured with food colouring).

Easter fun...
We haven't had much time to do much Easter cooking or craft this year. It's harder to find blocks of time to do these things with our new school routine and I'm not feeling very creative at the moment, but we've managed a couple of things.
For the last few years, I've got most of my ideas from this book which has recipes and craft ideas for kids. Last week we made some tags to go with the teachers' chocolates. We drew 'invisible' pictures and patterns with candles and then painted over the top with water (coloured with food colouring).

And today Jacob, Rebecca and I made some Easter biscuits. The recipe is a traditional Greek one which is made with butter, icing sugar, plain flour and lemon. I have some Easter cookie cutters I use.
I abandoned any idea of perfect patterns when it came to icing them, and let them 'go to town'.
We had a lot of fun, and good conversation (including some astute Bible observations by Jacob that I might come back to later, and some tricky questions about how our bodies decompose after death). And after the hot day yesterday, the cooler, rainier day today made it perfect for staying inside together and cooking.
